SCENE TO BE SEEN
Located in the heart of Old Montreal, the David Hotel is surrounded by almost 400 years of rich history which means that taking a stroll down the cobblestone quarter is quite literally like walking down memory lane. Only a block away is bustling rue Saint-Paul, the oldest street of Montreal paved in 1672 and where you will find Notre Dame de Bonsecours, our city’s jewel and oldest chapel built in 1771.
The neighborhood’s old city charm is home to an eclectic mix of high-end boutiques, leading contemporary art galleries, upscale dining and pulsating nightlife. Make reservations and dine at Stellina’s where renowned chefs Jonathan Agnello and Massimo Lecas prepare authentic handcrafted Italian pasta or pick up locally sourced or imported goods from artisanal grocery stores that line the Parisian-inspired district for a quiet and romantic night in.
The story of the David Hotel mirrors its foundational history of innovative minds coming together to create an original design. Named after its original owners, the Corse Building was built in 1858 by bold sisters and partners Susannah and Mary Corse. The female entrepreneurs turned in their inheritance for a seat at the table and completely disrupted a predominantly male industry by renting out their space to wine and cigar importers as well as auction houses. Fast-forward over a century and a half later where two like-minded Davids are found repeating history and making headway in an industry of their own. Highlighting the juxtaposition of historic gray stones that adorn the exterior of the momentous building to unveil a modern rendition of expressionistic interior architecture and design, the two Davids present their namesake; the David Hotel.
Their goal; reinvent the hotel lifestyle for a more curated voyage, giving guests access to all the tools and privacy needed to take charge of their own unique experience.

Wonderful stay. Great location and amenities, and very quiet! Perfect for staying a longer period, with the kitchen installations, and so close to everything.November 2022
Not bad, not my favourite
The "hotel" isn't a hotel which we didn't realize. There is no front desk or staff on site. There is an entry code for the front door and unit door, but safety seemed questionable, and there is no extra locks on the door. No parking, just street parking but a car was broken into across the street, and sex toys were found on the hotel steps, so location may be iffy. Otherwise location is amazing, great restaurants. Unit was generally clean except some towels provided were wet and one had a stain. Washroom isn't a room, the shower and tap are in the middle of the room and then a private toilet. Wasn't my favourite setup. Kitchen was alright, but only 3 forks, seemed odd, likely some have been removed and not restocked. Overall it wasn't a bad stay, just didn't really realize what we were walking into, and I probably wouldn't stay again.November 2022
Beautiful, but dark modern room with the amenities you need for a trip. The shower was gorgeous as well! Plenty of restaurants, historical landmarks and souvenir shops nearby.September 2022

Room was so nice, so clean. Had a good day!June 2022
A perfect location near the Old Port and very easy to find. The hallways are creepy and kinda cool. The room was very spacious and comes with a Washer and Dryer (which I didn't think I'd need, until I did... ❤️). The perfect cozy get away!May 2022

I knew ahead of time this was a self check in hotel, but I didn’t realize there was no lobby. Upon entering the hotel with a code box, the entrance was dark and a bit scary. Especially after I saw several homeless sitting on the steps next door. I was traveling alone and it would’ve been easy for someone to follow me from behind and enter the hotel. The hallway to my room was so dark I couldn’t see the key entry pad to let myself into the room. I called the phone number they gave me for help and had to go through several menus followed by being out on hold. When I finally got in my room, I was pleasantly surprised. It was beautiful, spacious and very clean. However on the last day when I went to put the toaster away, I found tons of ants congregating under it. I have pictures that I intend to send to the hotel. And last, this could’ve been my error but I had no idea of how much fees were be charged in the end. The room was about $530 USD but with fees ended up being $700 USD.May 2022
