Beautiful luxury apartment you will be so happy you booked
Positive: This hotel is actually loft-style apartments with a full kitchen, little living room, and bed/bath area. We were sooo excited to find a full sized washer and drier which was a huge help to us. The decor is brand-new, super modern, and beautiful. The check-in system is all digital and worked very well. They have great videos on how to use everything in the apartment. The location is right in the old town area, walking distance to everything we wanted. The king-sized bed was super comfy and the shower had great water pressure. There are drawers under the bed and on each nightstand so you can put away all your clothes. They even provide cozy bathrobes and a soft throw blanket for the couch. The thermostat was the easiest to use that I’ve ever found at a hotel and we could change the temp to always be comfortable. Extra shout out to Jamie, the night manager, who saved us when the door to our laundry room locked and we couldn’t get our clothes out from the drier! He answered my call at 10:30 pm and came up to the room so we didn’t have to wait until 9 am the next day when the normal staff was in. We loved this place and didn’t want to leave! Negative: The shower has only a slightly tinted glass wall half-covering the opening that is transparent when you turn any lights on. Which wouldn’t be a huge deal except that the shower and sink area are completely open to the whole rest of the apartment. There are no walls at all. With a mom and teenage daughter, it was a little awkward, but if we had been mom and son, it would have been a big problem. Or if anyone is visiting the room- no one can shower. There is also no way for one person to get up and start getting dressed while someone else sleeps in. Any light shines right onto the person in bed.

Un studio très spacieux et branché en centre-ville
Positive: Nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel aux alentours de 16h. L’accès pour s’y rendre est facile. En revanche, pas de stationnement proposé par les lieux, mais un parking payant et bien sécurisé se trouve à 2 pas, au palais des congrès. Le quartier est tranquille, charmant et en plein centre-ville. Il est proche des restaurants et de la rue Sainte-Catherine où se trouve toutes les animations. Le studio était très spacieux, propre et surprenant, nous avons adoré. Il est très bien équipé et décoré. Il y a un accueil sur place de 9h à 18h. Les personnes sont très sympathiques et nous ont même autorisées a laisser nos bagages le lendemain jusqu’à 16h pour ne pas avoir à les laisser dans la voiture le temps de visiter la ville avant notre départ (Check out a 11h). Positive: Excepcional. Uma excelente surpresa. Ambiente requintado e tudo de excelente qualidade. Cama, travesseiros, chuveiro, utensílios. Muito espaçoso. Além de ser ao lado do centro histórico de Montreal (Old Montreal) e da região do porto. Cathedral de Notre Dame fica muito próximo. Assim como a roda gigante. Negative: Nada. Adoramos tudo.

Positive: This is a wonderful boutique hotel. It's centrally located to downtown and Old Montreal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, well appointed and beautifully decorated. I wish we had more time to stay to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen, but we did enjoy espresso from the provided Nespresso machine. Negative: All of these are minor annoyances that didn't detract from an overall very nice time at the David Hotel: * Our room used keyless entry that required a 9 digit code that was very difficult to remember. The hotel staff said they're working on a simpler secure entry method. * The drapes were very difficult to get to. You have to climb over the couch and have long arms. It was a pain to open and close them regularly so we ended up keeping them closed too often. (Perhaps we missed some other mechanism for opening and closing them.) * The hallway to our room was too dark and there's a little ramp that was hard to see. We ended up stumbling on that a few times. * There are a million light switches that give you a lot of control the lighting in the room. That's a positive. However, at first we couldn't find the light switch for the bathroom sink which made getting ready a little difficult. (We finally found it below sink to the side of the cabinet. There's a sign pointing to it, but it wasn't obvious.) * There wasn't a toilet paper holder in the water closet. Tip: Use the door handle. A major issue with our stay that was not the hotel's fault, but people staying at this hotel or in the area should know not to park in the lot at the corner of Rue Notre-Dame and Rue Saint-Pierre. Our car was stolen from there overnight. When I looked at the Google Reviews, which unfortunately I did not do until after we parked there, I found that several cars have been stolen or burglarized at this location.

Amazing hotel
I stayed at David Hotel for 3 nights and had the best time. Location is perfect and room are quite soundproof. Fully equipped with smart tv, there is even laundry and dishwasher liquid. Only negative will be the lack of light.

Positive: Roomy, well equipped kitchen, ice maker, washer & dryer, comfy bed, nice shower & location. Plenty of room for luggage. Negative: Check-in process with requirement for a pic of drivers license and selfie. The $500 security deposit was excessive. Very dark hallways. Did not receive access codes until 3 pm on check-in day which was very inconvenient while traveling. No map or area info in the unit. No reception staff to answer questions.

Positive: The design and decor is very unique and IG worthy. Great location in old Montreal. Negative: It is self check in with a key code. When I arrived my code didn't work... Once I found the number to call the process to get a new code was good and staff on phone helpful but it was stressful and inconvenient. The room is beautiful but a bit run down feeling. The wall had been repaired with plaster but not repainted. Toilet was loose on the wall. A glass was dirty. Not the end of the world but for the price I expected these things to be on point.

Positive: The David Hotel is exceptional. We loved everything about it - the unique design, the comfort of the room, the extra details throughout the space, the cleanliness (in fact, the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in). The location was perfect! Communication with booking, check-in access and check-out was excellent. Definitely would recommend the David Hotel if planning to stay in Old Montreal. Negative: Parking is a bit tricky - not only for this hotel but for many in the area. We found parking just down the street in a lot for an extra charge with no issues.
