SCENE TO BE SEEN
Located in the heart of Old Montreal, the David Hotel is surrounded by almost 400 years of rich history which means that taking a stroll down the cobblestone quarter is quite literally like walking down memory lane. Only a block away is bustling rue Saint-Paul, the oldest street of Montreal paved in 1672 and where you will find Notre Dame de Bonsecours, our city’s jewel and oldest chapel built in 1771.
The neighborhood’s old city charm is home to an eclectic mix of high-end boutiques, leading contemporary art galleries, upscale dining and pulsating nightlife. Make reservations and dine at Stellina’s where renowned chefs Jonathan Agnello and Massimo Lecas prepare authentic handcrafted Italian pasta or pick up locally sourced or imported goods from artisanal grocery stores that line the Parisian-inspired district for a quiet and romantic night in.
The story of the David Hotel mirrors its foundational history of innovative minds coming together to create an original design. Named after its original owners, the Corse Building was built in 1858 by bold sisters and partners Susannah and Mary Corse. The female entrepreneurs turned in their inheritance for a seat at the table and completely disrupted a predominantly male industry by renting out their space to wine and cigar importers as well as auction houses. Fast-forward over a century and a half later where two like-minded Davids are found repeating history and making headway in an industry of their own. Highlighting the juxtaposition of historic gray stones that adorn the exterior of the momentous building to unveil a modern rendition of expressionistic interior architecture and design, the two Davids present their namesake; the David Hotel.

An original place to stay
We appreciated the original style and modern decoration of the suite. The bed is very comfortable, the spaces very large. The sink without a mirror doesn't seem very practical to me. I think it lacks a sofa or a couple of comfortable armchairs, as well as a desk for working with the computer.December 2022

Stylish and Comfy
Walking distance go everywhere, I found a underground parking 12mins walk away from the hotel, there are two parkings 1-2mins walk from the hotel but some reviews said that cars are smashed overnight. The room look exactly the same as the photos showing on the listing, very comfy bed, cleaning fee was very high $80CAD, not sure will the few drop a bit after the pandemic. I will definitely go back again.August 2022

grim decor but ran smoothly and close to the conference center
I soon came to find all the faux concrete grim and oppressive, especially on rainy days. It made me not want to go back to the hotel. But everything ran smoothly. The appliances worked, the door code worked, I always had hot water, I had no need to communicate with the hotel. It was nice to have a fridge, and an oven for heating up leftovers. And it was an easy walk to the Palais des Congres.August 2022

Fantastic location, great apartment.
The location was fantastic close to the old Montreal where there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants as well as shops and museums and sights. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and very well set up with everything I needed. It would be good to post the general rules on the website as I was travelling with my bike to race in the Montreal triathlon and had to make very last minute arrangements for it to be stored elsewhere due to bikes not being allowed on the property at all.July 2022

Beautiful accommodation within an excellent location
My wife and I had a great weekend staying at the David Hotel. It is an exceptionally modern, beautiful and clean hotel room, while the self-catering kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need. The hotel is also perfectly located within walking distance from everything you might want to visit in Old Montreal.June 2022
