It was a great place! The host was very responsive especially when we had issues with the shower. They sent maintenance right away. The place was clean and way more spacious than we thought. Floorboards were a bit damaged in some places, which might bother some people, but it didn’t cause any issues for us. Perfect space for a large group. One important thing to note— some showers leaked a lot. We put towels jammed up against the shower door which helped. But it wasn’t too big of a problem for us.

We were a group of four visiting Montreal for a friends trip. The location of the executive loft was perfect, right in the center of all the places we ended up going. Some of the best restaurants and bars are right around the corner or not more than a couple blocks away. The space in the loft is incredible and each of us had our own suite. One of the rooms was a bit smaller than the other three. The place was clean and had the basic amenities we needed. It was never noisy at night, which was nice even though you are downtown. We would definitely recommend the loft and the management group to stay for groups with enough space to spread out.

When booking, we saw the images online and thought to ourselves, "these must be common rooms and not part of the loft itself." Much to our surprise, the loft is large and features a full boardroom, large dining room table, massive couches, full amenity kitchen and four bedrooms each with ensuite. The loft was clean, spacious, and quiet. We hosted a dinner for ten people and there was a lot of room to lounge and eat. The location is right downtown on top of shops! Our family enjoyed the stay very much and will stay here again. This loft is great for corporate functions given the massive boardroom. We had some miscommunication with check in time and had to wait for the team to arrive but the staff was super friendly and generally very responsive. Overall excellent stay.

Loved the open floor plan, the spacious bedrooms each with private bath and the location in the city. Walk to Old town, plenty of great places to eat and easy to get around. A few small issues that were easily rectified as communication with property manager was the best I’ve experienced.

THe executive loft is great, kitchen is well-stocked, place was clean and bedrooms were all comfortable. WiFi doesn’t reach all of the rooms. Location is great, can walk to old port or to Mont Royal. Only issue is someone had to meet us to check in and they were not able to do so until 1730 when the advertised check in time is 1500. They really need to figure out someway to allow access to the apartment until their staff can get there to verify the people checking in.

This property is cool and has a great location. Great conference room with good lighting. Lighting is poor in the bedrooms. There was not any towels for the kitchen. Overall, it needs a deep clean, and including the couch. It was as if one too many parties happened here. I was not impressed with the cleanliness, and felt the need to buy Lysol wipes to feel comfortable. We weren't sure if the bedding looked washed... I asked the manager and he said they have a linen service. But there seemed to be some hair. The mattress was comfortable, but the mattress cover needs to be washed. But after we settled in we realized it had everything we needed.

I stayed with my family for NYE 2019 in this super spacious 4 bd/4bath floor with street views of Ste Catherine Street. Even though we faced the street, it was very quiet. We were impressed with the decor and style of the floor. Very chic. Alex, greeted us to check in and showed us all the amenities. Although there is no parking on site, there is a parking lot 1/2 block away. The rooms are all nicely appointed and all with king sized beds. There’s a washer/dryer which also came in handy. The kitchen is complete with dishes, pot/pans, and silverware (no blender though). We certainly enjoyed our stay and will certainly recommend it to our friends.

You couldn’t have asked for a better location. The loft is close to everything and we had no problem finding parking. The loft is spacious and the rooms are quite big so that was a plus. The place is great but it could use a bit of sprucing up. During our stay, we encountered a few problems, the staff helped us and although one of the showers never got fixed we had a great stay. The only suggestion I would make is that Management should definitely change the furniture in the living room because it is extremely uncomfortable. That part of the house needs to be cozy! Management should provide more comforts such as extra throws and pillows especially when it’s snowing. It would have made the experience better. Overall, it was a good experience.

We had a spectacular visit at the Holland Hotel. Everything was in perfect order. The host met us at the designated time and gave us a tour of the property and explained everything. They sent a “boarding pass” that had even more details including a video on how to use the TV and Sonos. We received permission to host a small baby shower and the space was absolutely perfect for our group. Previous reviews noted issues with the hot water. We had strong water pressure and very hot showers for our visit, so to the extent there was ever an issue, it’s clearly been resolved. The HVAC works very well and we were able to adjust the temperature with ease. The property is a loft with exposed vents, so the HVAC can be loud in the common area, but that’s to be expected in a true loft conversion like this property. The location was absolutely perfect. Close to the Peel train and walkable to many great restaurants. We would stay here again.

Amazing place to stay in a fantastic location in downtown Montreal. Easily walkable to the main spots, bars and restaurants. The accommodations are clean, space is bright and nicely decorated and very spacious for a group of eight. Really enjoyed having the bedrooms separate from the living area. Large, wonderful space with plenty of room for the whole family. This building used to be an office building of sorts, hence the large conference room, but was fun for the kids. Aside from locating the space and needing to meet someone to get in, our stay was great. It's located in a central spot with easy access in and out.

The space was great for a group and had a lot of room in the common area but was very private with each bedroom having its own ensuite bathroom. The bed and bathrooms could definitely be updated though. We had a few problems with the water during our stay, including it taking an incredibly long time for hot water in the shower, toilet tanks slow to fill up and not filling up at all, and a flood on the second floor of the building that left us without any water one morning. Also, the city experienced a partial power outage and we were unable to access our floor for a long time because the only way up was by elevator. No one contacted us to let us know beforehand and no one answered the emergency contact numbers that were left. That being said, Gael was very nice when we were communicating.

Stayed at the Holland for my Bachelorette weekend. From a smooth and personal check in, to the amazing common space with lots of photo ops and 4 bathrooms for all the ladies, it was a perfect spot for a weekend of non stop activities! Location is the best you’re going to get, with easy access to everything you need from liquor store to drug store and restaurants. Would defiantly recommend to large groups who want to stay together but also have some privacy and the luxury of not having to share washrooms! Will be back!!

Magnifique endroit en plein centre-ville! Le loft est grand et bien aménagé avec cuisine complète et salle de bain dans chaque chambre. Le contact avec simplissimo est simple et facile. Le loft est juste un peu plus vieux en vrai que ce qu’on voit sur les photos, les meubles sont un peu fatigués et l’accès au loft qui est une entrée commune devrait être plus propre et l’odeur de propane dans l’ascenseur devrait être réparée Mais sinon c’est un endroit fantastique !

En termes de communication, tous les mails sont en anglais. Bizarre pour une destination francophone. Le ménage est très moyen. On a retrouvé des chips sur les tables du salon. Trouver une casserolle ou une poele n'est pas simple non plus. Cet appartement est sous équipé au niveau de la cuisine.. Il est aussi surprenant de voir une table de réunion pour 15 personnes dans l'appartement. En revanche, il est idéalement situé rue Ste Catherine. C'est bruyant, mais cela ne dépend pas de l'appartement; ce sont les défauts du centre ville. Le salon est démesuré en termes de grandeur. On n'a jamais réussi à faire fonctionner la télé. 3 télécommandes mais 1 seule chaine en réception. Bizarre. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de volets dans les salles de bains, car comme elles communiquent avec les chambres via une baie vitrée, la chambre est toujours éclairée. Les lits sont spacieux et confortables.

Amazing stay at the Executive Loft
We were a group of 7 and had an amazing stay at the executive loft. We had stayed for NYE, and the loft provided all the necessary kitchen equipment to host my group and have a great meal. The place was super clean, extremely spacious, and super well decorated. The one comment is that the floors between lofts are not properly insulated and we were able to hear a very loud party of 30 people above us very late into the night.

Positive: We came up to Montreal from New York to spend five days over the Thanksgiving holidays. We are two adults and two college age adult children so it was great to have each our own room in the executive loft on the fourth floor. If you’re expecting seven star hotel quality, you won’t find it here. What you will find is a huge approximately 4000 ft.² space with for individual rooms each with their own bathroom, a large conference room! And a large dining room and living room area. Did I mention the kitchen? It’s huge and stocked with all the items you would need to prepare food and it has both a dishwasher and a laundry machine and dryer in an adjacent room so it was convenient to wash our clothes after a full day of walking the streets of Montreal and climbing the adjacent vista look out. This worked out really great for us as people could come and go as they please either hanging out in the communal spaces or spending time in their individual room. This would also be great for four couples, and they have a pretty strict policy against having more than 16 people in the loft after 11 PM. So at night it is quiet. Since we were only four people, this is not an issue. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the shopping District in Montreal and just footsteps away from all of the popular tourist sites. We will definitely go back as it really suits our lifestyle versus staying in a hotel where you’re constantly bothered by housekeeping or have to put two people in a room or share a bathroom between two people. All of this can be avoided by staying in one of the three lofts that this organization offers. We plan to come back next year! Negative: you have to take out your own garbage

Quieter than expected
Because of the location we were expecting to hear more noise. Thankfully the rooms are well isolated and we all got a good night's sleep and we're grateful for that. The homeless situation in the streets below is to be expected and that didn't bother us too much. The loft is really big and has everything you can possibly need.

We used everything in the loft except the kitchen. We were here for work and appreciated the conference room. No one felt like cooking and we all agreed to takeout and eating out which was great because the hotel is surrounded by restaurants. We loved it.

Great space great location looking a bit tired in need of a face lift.
Positive: spacious Negative: At a glance this is a fabulous space in a great location however at a closer look the property is looking tired and has been patched up multiple times. The bathroom in the 3rd bedroom floods when using the shower this is due to a fitting fault and has obviously caused problems for a while because the wooden floor outside the bathroom has started to rot and has been patched up with a piece of wood at entrance to the bathroom. The walls have been patched up in places with paint that doesn’t quite match the original paint. whilst staying at the property the sprinkler system developed a leak in the kitchen soaking the cooking facilities. I reported this problem and the vendors contacted me immediately and it got fixed the same day which was great, service and communication with the vendors was excellent! The floors were filthy after waking around bare foot in the property I had to wash the souls of my feet before getting in bed however the beds were comfortable and clean. the other thing to say is that the air conditioning in the hallway outside the bedrooms was extremely loud with no means of turning it off effecting those who sleep in bedrooms 3 and 4, I personally found it very difficult to sleep as did my kids.

This is an amazing and unique loft space for entertaining with the most amazing location in the center of downtown Montreal. It is just an unbeatable location in every way if you are looking to host an event or party. There are not many choices in Montreal to find such a space. Given these amazing benefits, unfortunately there will also be situations where some not so great things that come along with territory. For example, when guests in the other lofts are hosting events that are not responsible and do no respect the rules, issues are certain to arise beyond the full control of the hosts. We experienced some security issues with guests from other lofts entering our loft because the hosts on other floors did not pick up their guests from security and also with the other guests breaking the noise rules stated by the hosts/management company. Fortunately the management at Simplissimo did what they could to rectify the situation and make things right. This was very much appreciated, as things are not always under their control if other guests did not respect their rules. They responded quickly to our concerns and made personal visits to make things right as much as they could. Also, the loft itself - again it is just an amazing space for hosting a group and very few places have 4 bedrooms and a massive conference room and living room space. These were unbeatable in every way and quite impressive. We did experience some issues with the bed supports being broken and the linens not being very clean or stained from not being replaced for a while. The manager was informed of this and assured that these would be addressed in the future. To be clear this particular loft is not a 'luxury' experience but still the PERFECT space to host a small gathering as long as you are not expecting amenities like the 4 Seasons or Ritz Carlton. If you are looking to host a small gathering or have a group that would like to stay together with a central location and massive gathering/social space this is the best choice by far. Just be aware that you will have to accept what comes with it.

Yan's place was great. This downtown location is amazing and very walkable. You're right in the center of all downtown Montreal has to offer and quick hop from other sections of the city. The space was perfect for our group who was super excited to stay there after seeing it in person. It's large, comfortable and has a real great vibe. The amenities were on point, keying in to and out of the building is safe/simple and the private elevator entrance is a great touch. We also really appreciated the fact that there was a Sonos connection with multiple speakers. I would absolutely stay here again. Everyone on our trip gave the place rave reviews.

Everything was either walking distance of 10-15 minutes, Mount Royal was a 30 minute hike/walk away, or it was 20 minute Uber ride at most. It is in a great location! Even convenience stores across the street and great clothing stores next door. Having four bedrooms with four full bathrooms was great especially with 7 women who need to get ready at the same time!

The hotel is beautiful and the location is so great however, the TERRIBLE and DANGEROUS experience we had definitely outweighed it. While sleeping on our first evening between 1-4 am our unit was broken into through the emergency exit. During our initial walk through with Alex he had indicated the door was locked and to only use in case of emergency, the alarm would sound. Unfortunately, while 8 young females were sleeping, a group of drunken men were able to break that door open and enter our unit. To our disadvantage the alarm did not sound and we were unable to hear the break in as it was so effortless on the intruders part. My friend happened to wake up to go to the kitchen and noticed that the emergency door was propped open and had all 3 locks broken. We decided to call Alex as soon as it happened to let him know. In hind sight, we should have called the police as this unit was extremely unsafe. We pulled the door closed although none of the locks worked and the door was bent. Alex did not seem too concerned and let us know he would be there the next morning. We did not sleep for the rest of the evening and had to lock ourselves in our rooms (note, one room had a broken lock so we had to sleep three to a bed). When Alex arrived in the morning he indicated that the locks were broken to begin with. The main elevator has fob keys which allows you to only go to the desired floor. However, the emergency exit door which is located on the main floor is unlocked which is the path the intruders took to our apartment. To top it off, during the daytime the FRONT of the hotel is UNLOCKED, therefore our belongings and ourselves would be easily accessed through that emergency exit during the day. The outcome: Alex sent a service person over twice to fix the door however it was simply held together by a thin 1 inch piece of metal which was still bent from the break in and a bolt into the ground which literally just scraped the floor and was not secure. For the door to be fully locked, you had to pull the emergency handle very hard to click it into place as the metal door was bent out of shape. We asked Alex to have David, the manager, contact us. We had a terrible experience and should be compensated for this issue considering it was due to the property managers negligence. David was not accommodating at all. He insisted that the only thing he could do was to give us a free night stay for another time. WE ARE NOT FROM MONTREAL AND DO NOT WANT TO STAY HERE AGAIN. Also, all of the 8 girls would likely NOT be travelling together again. So, how is this appropriate for compensation? We asked to be reimbursed for at...

The best space you could hope to find for a trip to see a Habs game with the boys on a Saturday night. Would also serve well for work team offsites. JP and Kareem very professional staff. Obviously it’s Montreal and on weekends in the heart of centre-ville things will get loud, however the staff maintain presence to keep respect and courtesy so that you also get to sleep well! Tip: We stayed in unit on 4th floor, which was really great. Nespresso, 5 baths, 4 showers and a huge board room. 8 ppl can stay max and 4 visitors after 11pm. The third floor loft looked to have a walk out patio that would be epic in the summer, literally doubling the space. That’s where I’ll be next time if possible. Merci! Tres bien!

Our family wanted to stay downtown and usually settle for adjoining rooms in a hotel. Before entering the loft at Holland Hotel we had high expectations due to the pictures. Our thoughts were, “surely those images we of a common area and not the actual loft.” It turns out the reality exceeded our expectations and we stayed in a clean, quiet and very large four bedroom loft right at Ste Catherine and Stanley. It was a fantastic stay and everyone enjoyed the stay. We hosted a dinner for 12 people and it still felt empty. Great place. Friendly staff. We would stay again.

Our stay in the Executive Loft was excellent. There is tons of room for everyone, the living area is sunny and bright, and the kitchen was well equipped. The location is excellent and convenient to everything. The parking garage around the corner on Stanley was cheap, so we never had to bother with our car. Alex, the representative, was easy to reach and readily replied to my questions. We had a problem the first night with one of the air conditioners in one of the bedrooms, but it was quickly fixed the next day. The only suggestion I have is for a few upgrades. The shower faucets were old and difficult to adjust, and the sealant around the showers needs to be replaced. Also, the wooden floor needs some areas fixed, but I get the feeling that the place is an old factory building, so the floors didn't really bother me because they added to the charm. For a place that was essentially so beautiful, fixing up the bathrooms seems a no-brainer to me. All that said, the place definitely deserves 5 stars.

This is a party loft - not for business
Very spacious and centrally located. Bathrooms were not very clean and sheets and pillows were thin. Wifi did not work throughout the loft, despite attempts my management to fix this. We were there for business trip. The boardroom doesn’t even have and outlet in the centre of the table or a landline for conference calls. The people staying above us were having a party for the raptors game- they were moving furniture, stomping the floors and screaming- completely classless. This is a perfect spot for younger groups looking to party but not for us. Good customer service, although our issues could not be addressed during our stay.

There are nails sticking out of the floor that I ripped my socks on. The showers had very hot water and only very hot water no cold water. Christmas in the city with family
Our stay at Holland Hotel over the Christmas holiday was wonderful. Close to shopping, restaurants and theaters and Uber friendly to other places we ventured. The space is enormous and allowed everyone to have their own space yet get together as a family for games and Christmas movies on TV in the evening. Comfortable beds, nice up to date bathrooms, laundry unit in the apartment. Alex was at the ready, if needed. Highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Montreal.

The location is great. The place spacious and clean but our experience on Friday and Saturday nights was that it was party central. Had to call the police at 4 am to shut down the party going on on the floor above us. Tried to call the emergency contact numbers before the police but could only leave a voicemail on one and the mailbox was full on the other one. Was told there was another party book on Saturday night but it wouldn’t be as out of control. Not so. Had to intervene to have it shutdown at 3 am. Other things that could be improved upon are having a drip coffee maker. We bought coffee but couldn’t use it and had to do a coffee run each morning. There were hardly any spoons and less than 1/2 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. We noted this on our initial walk through. Two phone calls and 3 hours later both were delivered from the Dollar Store in insufficient amounts. We all left Holland Lofts exhausted and many with colds due to lack of sleep. None of us will ever stay there again!

Amazing place in the city center of Montreal. Beautiful loft, close to shops, restaurants and amenities. Ideal for a family for a couple of days in Montreal.
