    Positive: Le loft très beau, lit très confortable, vielle bâtisse avec les ancien murs visible Negative: Salle de bain peu confortable, évier en sortant de la douche mal placé, miroir de l’autre côté de la pièce pas pratique. Insonorisation des plafonds mal faite, toute la soirée jusqu’à passé minuit il y avait un locataire qui marchais en aller-retour sa résonnait…

  10. Modern and clean

    Positive: Probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Contemporary, clean, great location and had all the amenities and equipment that you would need. Super easy self-check in and check out, also had easy access to all the FAQs and to their staff when needed. Negative: Honestly it was a 10/10, but one of the staff I engaged with was trying to trick me to tip her when I was asking for a refill of coffee capsules (which should have been free). After quite a few back and forth she finally brought them over, but I wasn’t pleased that she was trying to force me to pay tips. Other staff I talked to was great however.

  11. Une adresse à garder, un rapport qualité prix très bon et une situation parfaite.

    Positive: Le David hotel est idéalement placé, très confortable et a une déco très actuelle très chouette! Tout était parfait, le lit très grand et très confortable. On peut aisément passer une semaine dans ce studio super équipé. Rien ne manque, je recommande vivement. Negative: La surabondance de mails reçus qui ne me paraissaient pas officiels et me demandaient de payer un deposit. Tout devrait être expliqué sur Booking.com à la réservation.

  16. Staff was excellent we really enjoyed our stay, we would definaltey come back.

    Positive: The big beautiful glass pane windows and the stone wall made everything feel luxurious and very Parisian. I loved the lighting ambiance and all the amenities including Netflix and Alexa, and the bed was super comfy! Location was close to so many restaurants, shops and attractions, we walked everywhere.     Positive: Großes Apartment, sehr gute Lage und ruhig, da Fenster im Innenhof Negative: Der ganze Buchungsablauf ist eine Katastrophe! Würde ich nicht mehr buchen. Online check in mit Passport einscannen , Drohung wenn man das nicht macht, kann man nicht ins Zimmer obwohl man bezahlt hat. Wenn man eine lange Anreise hat und vorher zu Hause nicht einchecken kann, und man vor Ort dann kein Wlan hat ist es es schwierig, da man den Code erst ab 15 Uhr bekommt.

  19. Great location, great value, covered parking available a few blocks away.

    Positive: This apartment was HUGE. Great combination of old and modern: Old stone walls, modern appointments.... shower, bathroom, kitchen, bed, TV, washer/dryer, finishes. It was well-located just a short walk from Rue St. Paul with loads of great restaurants and shops. It was also located far enough so there wasn't any street noise. The thick, granite walls helped, too! Negative: The only a few minor complaints, is that the towels were a little thin. There were lots of towels but not too plush. Also, there wasn't a mirror near the sink. It was across the room: not conducive for shaving (men) or makeup (women).

    Positive: The location was great, only 5 minutes from the Convention Centre and right on the edge of Old Montreal. Plenty of restaurants and things to do in the neighbourhood. The room was very clean and comfortable with all the appliances. Nice modern decor. A lot of concrete so a little bit cold. Negative: The WiFi was terrible. Couldn't get any work done. I was at a conference and came back to the room in the afternoons to rest for evening gatherings. There was drilling and hammering going on next door. It sounded like it was in my room. Not very restful.

    Positive: Excellent location, everything in the old port was walkable. Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, freezer, dishes and cutlery so you could eat in. Very comfortable bed, quiet room. Negative: The hallway was very dark, the room had no comfortable sofa or chair only metal bar stools and a couple of backless, upolsteted benches, there is a significant one-time cleaning charge so probably not suitable for a single night stay.

  30. Excellent hotel - excellent location

    It was my first stay at David’s hotel and I have already recommended it to several people. It really is a great loft that allows you to feel at home while in travel for work. It has all of the necessary accommodations, including fridge, stove, washer/dryer, etc. Just great (does need to implement recycling though).

  42. I was sick the majority of my trip, so it was nice to have a super comfortable bed.

    Positive: very convenient location and easy to access. loved having a washer/dryer. bed/pillows were very comfortable. manager was very responsive. Negative: the weirdest part was the bathroom sink. just in the middle of a small island outside of the toilet and shower. no mirror attached to get ready. the only mirror (if not counting the iridescent, mirror- like glass on the shower) was near the window, across the room. also, my room windows faced out across a small alley so it was easy to see into the nearly adjacent building. that meant keeping the curtains drawn while getting ready (ie showering in particular, as the shower was also not in a separate room). the only things kept behind an additional door were the toilet and washer/dryer. my place wasn’t particularly clean on a deep level (comforter had stains, some dishes were dirty). conditioner was actually shampoo and shower knob was broken. sometimes a hotel is better for certain things. depends what your needs are for a particular trip.

    Positive: L'appartement est situé dans le vieux Montréal, très bien situé pour s'y promener, sortir le soir (supermarché à proximité, gare centrale accessible à pied). Sa superficie est incroyable. La cuisine est plus que très bien équipée. Le lit est king size, très confortable. La lumière adaptable aux besoins de chacun, selon l'occupation et l'activité dans l'appartement. Negative: En restant factuel... Il n'y a pas de réception physique, tout ce fait à distance avec tous les inconvénients que cela impose: pas d'interlocuteur en temps réel, pas de paiement sur place, pas de possibilité de late checkout, pas de possibilité pour laisser les bagages après 11h le jour du départ! Pour le paiement, comme il n'y a pas de règlement sur place possible, tout se fait par internet, via une autre plateforme en plus que celle de Booking. Le mail envoyé génère une alerte de suspicion de mail malveillant. Très zen pour démarrer les vacances. Et aucune négociation possible pour une annulation, en confiance ou pas, on doit payer, business is business. Pour la chambre, le gros inconvénient est qu'il n'y a aucune séparation entre la cuisine, le lit et la salle de bain. L'un peut cuisiner, l'autre faire la grosse commission tout en s'entendant mutuellement... pourtant une cloison aurait été tout à fait envisageable. Le lavabo de la salle de bain est en plein milieu de la zone salle de bain, donc comment fait un homme pour se raser???? Et le verre à brosse à dents qui a encore les traces du dentifrice du précédent occupant, c'est très moyen quand on facture 80$ en supplément pour le nettoyage de la chambre dès une nuit d'utilisation. Les chambres impaires donnent sur une cour pas très avenante. Les chambres paires donnent sur la rue. A noter qu'il n'y a pas de clé (c'est pratique) mais un code à 9 chiffres à taper sur la porte... vaut mieux avoir l'esprit clair, avoir une bonne mémoire, l'avoir enregistré sur son téléphone pas en rade de batterie pour pouvoir rentrer chez soi!

  48. Exquisite Self-checking Hotel with Whole function Kitchen

    David Hotel is the eye-catching one when we explored our hotel options in Montreal. Very glad we chose them because it is a really pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. We love the interior designs--modern and quite thoughtful and enjoy the whole broad space (around 56sqm) fully to us. Everything is neat and clean. Instructions on check-in/out are clear. Location is great-close to Notre Dame Church, City Hall, Place Jacques-Cartier, etc. David Hotel is great for couples, friends, and small family. Tips: Street parking is allowed during night and it's free after 9pm until next day 9am.

  49. Wonderful stay, fantastic location!

    The David is a wonderful 'hotel' and in a fantastic location, close to everything in Old Montreal. The rooms are large, bright, modern and very clean. Our stays on our trip were broken into 2 separate 2-day stays and we did have an issue with the second room (room 21) with noises and a loud refrigerator. The maintenance person who came to fix the refrigerator was lovely, but the noise continued after he left. However, the staff promptly addressed my concerns and moved us to another room. Will definitely be back, and definitely recommend!

  51. Beautiful room in the heart of the Old Port.

    Positive: The room was huge, with cool designer touches. The location was fantastic in the heart of the Old Port near the river and a quick walk to Metro, train station and Chinatown. Make sure to take a walk around after dark - there are lots of lighted art installations nearby including a very cool one right on the side of Hotel David. Negative: The bathroom sink in the middle of the room is a bit strange, especially since there is no mirror to shave or apply makeup in. I also did not love the check-in procedure - having to send pictures of ID and a pic of myself with ID seemed a bit much.

    Positive: sehr zentral gelegen, sehr sauer, alles vorhanden (inclusive Kaffee für 2 Tage, Öl, Essig, Salz, Pfeffer), Hippe Wohnung Negative: der Anmeldeprozess ist etwas umständlich, vorab check in mit Bilder und Ausweisnachweis, dann am gleichen Tag erhält man beide Zugangscode (Personal ist keines zu sehen), ohne Internetzugang eher problematisch!, Wer parken will muss erstmals suchen. Wenig Ablagemöglichkeit für Badeutensilien. Der Kühlschrank war sehr laut, wenn man nur 2 Meter daneben schläft stört er schon etwas.

    Positive: Großes Zimmer mit großer Küche, WC abgetrennt, Dusche einsehbar und Waschbecken im Raum, was etwas ungewöhnlich klingt, hat für uns super funktioniert, da wir wirklich genug Platz hatten. Die Buchung und auch der CheckIn hat auch ohne Personal vor Ort gut funktioniert, allerdings sollte man per Mobiltelefon, es wird eine SMS und eine Mail mit den Zugangsdaten versendet, erreichbar sein. Die Lage hat uns gut gefallen, wir konnten Montreal leicht zu Fuß erkunden, auch waren es nur ein paar Schritte bis zum nächsten Supermarkt. Negative: No comment

    Positive: Spacious and stylish with a full size kitchen but whats the point if you dont plan to cook during your stay. Negative: I hate receiving their emails about their rules all the time. It added loads of stress to our vacation. Although we didn't intend to break any rules, it certainly made the experience much less enjoyable.

    Positive: rien Negative: nous avons demandé une annulation de réservation en 40 minutes ayant reçu un test positif de CODID. l'établissement n'a absolument pas voulu nous annuler les frais de la chambre. le service à la clientèle est déficient et on a même osé m'écrire que les hôtels avaient soufferts pendant la pandémie et que ca ne les regardait pas que nous soyons positif. de quel droit nous écrire ca? savent ils ce qu'on a vécu nous avec la pandémie? Combien de décès dans notre proche entourage?

    Personal experience 1 star. Others may have 3 star. Split the difference. Good: Roomy, modern, easy access, great location, full kitchen, fast wifi So so: Not the cleanest (used floss in shower, cleaners didn't notice broken light & food tray) Noisy from the upstairs neighbors as walls are thin No front desk. It's not a hotel, closer to airbnb studio No turndown service Bad: Design over function in a bad way. "bathroom" sink free standing next to bed, no mirror. Shaving, putting on make-up, a challenge. Only mirror was on the opposite side of the apartment. Shower in a glass enclosure visible to the whole apartment and the building across if shades open. No shelves for towels, hamper sitting in the shower. Floor towel can't be placed in front of the shower because the door sweeps so low it pushes it out of the way. No privacy. Owner entered w/o consent to repair something that could wait, while we were out. Communication, the requirements for check-in ahead of arrival are ridiculous. and the system is buggy (payment took several attempts to go through). Owner called about entering apartment after I emailed asking them not. Since I'm travelling international, did not have good reception, but they did not text or leave a VM. Would have been able to work this out with a front desk at a real hotel or communication of an airbnb. They pick the worst of both. Poor quality items. Fixtures fall apart, fridge so loud had to shut it off, broken lights.
