SCENE TO BE SEEN
Located in the heart of Old Montreal, the David Hotel is surrounded by almost 400 years of rich history which means that taking a stroll down the cobblestone quarter is quite literally like walking down memory lane. Only a block away is bustling rue Saint-Paul, the oldest street of Montreal paved in 1672 and where you will find Notre Dame de Bonsecours, our city’s jewel and oldest chapel built in 1771.
The neighborhood’s old city charm is home to an eclectic mix of high-end boutiques, leading contemporary art galleries, upscale dining and pulsating nightlife. Make reservations and dine at Stellina’s where renowned chefs Jonathan Agnello and Massimo Lecas prepare authentic handcrafted Italian pasta or pick up locally sourced or imported goods from artisanal grocery stores that line the Parisian-inspired district for a quiet and romantic night in.
The story of the David Hotel mirrors its foundational history of innovative minds coming together to create an original design. Named after its original owners, the Corse Building was built in 1858 by bold sisters and partners Susannah and Mary Corse. The female entrepreneurs turned in their inheritance for a seat at the table and completely disrupted a predominantly male industry by renting out their space to wine and cigar importers as well as auction houses. Fast-forward over a century and a half later where two like-minded Davids are found repeating history and making headway in an industry of their own. Highlighting the juxtaposition of historic gray stones that adorn the exterior of the momentous building to unveil a modern rendition of expressionistic interior architecture and design, the two Davids present their namesake; the David Hotel.
Their goal; reinvent the hotel lifestyle for a more curated voyage, giving guests access to all the tools and privacy needed to take charge of their own unique experience.

Exquisite Self-checking Hotel with Whole function Kitchen
David Hotel is the eye-catching one when we explored our hotel options in Montreal. Very glad we chose them because it is a really pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. We love the interior designs--modern and quite thoughtful and enjoy the whole broad space (around 56sqm) fully to us. Everything is neat and clean. Instructions on check-in/out are clear. Location is great-close to Notre Dame Church, City Hall, Place Jacques-Cartier, etc. David Hotel is great for couples, friends, and small family. Tips: Street parking is allowed during night and it's free after 9pm until next day 9am.October 2022

Wonderful stay, fantastic location!
The David is a wonderful 'hotel' and in a fantastic location, close to everything in Old Montreal. The rooms are large, bright, modern and very clean. Our stays on our trip were broken into 2 separate 2-day stays and we did have an issue with the second room (room 21) with noises and a loud refrigerator. The maintenance person who came to fix the refrigerator was lovely, but the noise continued after he left. However, the staff promptly addressed my concerns and moved us to another room. Will definitely be back, and definitely recommend!October 2022

We never wanted to leave !!October 2022
Would not stay here again.
Personal experience 1 star. Others may have 3 star. Split the difference. Good: Roomy, modern, easy access, great location, full kitchen, fast wifi So so: Not the cleanest (used floss in shower, cleaners didn't notice broken light & food tray) Noisy from the upstairs neighbors as walls are thin No front desk. It's not a hotel, closer to airbnb studio No turndown service Bad: Design over function in a bad way. "bathroom" sink free standing next to bed, no mirror. Shaving, putting on make-up, a challenge. Only mirror was on the opposite side of the apartment. Shower in a glass enclosure visible to the whole apartment and the building across if shades open. No shelves for towels, hamper sitting in the shower. Floor towel can't be placed in front of the shower because the door sweeps so low it pushes it out of the way. No privacy. Owner entered w/o consent to repair something that could wait, while we were out. Communication, the requirements for check-in ahead of arrival are ridiculous. and the system is buggy (payment took several attempts to go through). Owner called about entering apartment after I emailed asking them not. Since I'm travelling international, did not have good reception, but they did not text or leave a VM. Would have been able to work this out with a front desk at a real hotel or communication of an airbnb. They pick the worst of both. Poor quality items. Fixtures fall apart, fridge so loud had to shut it off, broken lights.August 2022
Great location, the room was beautiful and clean, it has everything you need for a long stay, washer and dryer included.May 2022

Superb Location, Room and Communication.
Really good..this is perfect of you want the benefits of a 5* hotel without the restrictions and costs of cooking and cleaning. This is a real home from home near the heart of the old town. Laura @ simplissimo was most helpful, too.May 2022
