What a great deal for this upscale condo style apartment! My wife and I had the pleasure of renting this space on a quick trip to Montreal last week and we were both pleasantly surprised by the size and cleanliness of the apartment. Check in was very easy and smooth and the location is perfectly a short walk from the city. Parking was what it is in Montreal but I parked and took an Uber everywhere so no problem! We will definitely be booking when we come back in June!

Here are the Pros & Cons of the place, Pros: There is a Grocery store & Dollarama right next to the place Metro/Subway is within ~200m of walk Place is cosy and has ample space It had all the Kitchenware that is required to prep a quick meal Washrooms were immaculately clean Street parking was available & its free from 10pm - 8am and during daytime, it's limited to 2 hours Bedrooms had new/cleaned linen Provided ample amount of Towels Each room can be temperature controlled and the main living area had an AC unit Each room has its own TV Cons: I am being picky here! The dining table & chairs were not the ones shown on the images The living area TV is so bad - both colour and sound! Bring your own JBL Sofa has so many spilt spots/stains. Felt upset to sit down on it The shower unit & exhaust in the washroom were not working properly Anyways,we left some food & cash tip to the cleaner and we even took our garbage out

Positive: I liked how quiet it was most of the time. I loved the Dollarama..its a store located literally next door where you can purchase necessaries..food..water etc.. Lots of food choices nearby. Attractions nearby as well. I went to Beauty's and the Botanical gardens...I loved the loft size..all the windows and space and so much natural light coming in..the washer and dryer..shower and bathtub in the bathroom. Nice sized kitchen. Like a 30 min drive from YUL airport .they also provide a few days worth of tissue for the restroom. Detergent pods for washing clothes..and pods for washing dishes..etc.. Negative: They have on property cameras in the common rooms which they tell you beforehand..just felt like I was being watched..I think the photos don't reflect the actual appearance of the apartment from entry into the building...a couple times the neighbors were loud..I heard them at night. Some parts of the apartment like the bathroom could use more attention in cleaning..was a bit dusty. Would have liked if they left a broom to sweep..

One of our best stays (Room 201)
Before our 3-night stay in mid November, I read quite a few reviews that mentioned about bad smell from the trash bins at building entrance / stained furniture & curtain / dirty floor & tabletop / hair in beds / noise / weak Wi-Fi / toilet not secured to the ground, so we were very skeptical, but luckily our apartment (Room 201) turned out to be just perfect! The Dollarama store right below the apartments makes it very easy to locate the apartment even at night. Contactless check-in was super easy too - one code for the main entrance and one for the apartment. The apartment is so spacious it feels bigger than it appears in the photos. Both bedrooms are of very good size too with large closets. The kitchen includes everything you need for cooking, would be good if they provide a kitchen (cloth) towel though. The washing machine and dryer did a very good job too! I believe 2-3 detergent tablets were included. There's a fairly large balcony too, but we couldn't use it during our stay as it was completely covered by snow. The bathroom has the best jet shower system we've ever had in our travels. Nothing better than a hot strong shower when it's snowing outside. Just a few steps from the apartment is Clarke Cafe, which is highly recommended. They have really good coffee/sandwich/Portuguese egg tart. There are also a few smaller eateries on the same block of the apartment. Within 10-15 minute walk you can get to the Atwater Market and lots of shops/restaurants on Notre-Dame Street. The apartment is also only about 3 minute walk to the Tube (Green) Charlevoix Station, which is only a few stops from downtown Montreal. If I really have to pick on something, I wish the dining / living area could have been much brighter. And also the TV is hard to operate - would appreciate if there's instructions provided. Other than that, we highly recommend this apartment, and will definitely come back if we're ever in this area again!

Positive: The apartment was clean, spacious and very easy to access, although we didn't receive the codes on time but as soon we called they solved the problem. Parking behind the apartment which was really useful. And even if it is not very central it is very easy to reach the centre ville by using the tube. Negative: As soon as you enter the building you can smell litter because they keep the bin just at the entrance at the bottom floor. It is not very close to the centre, you have to walk 45 minutes or take the car for around 20 minutes. You could instead use the tube.

The bedrooms are decent sized, but once I remove the cover from the bed there was hair, yes HAIR FROM SOMEONE ELSE. After texting management and sending them proof of their dirty apartment, we got an apology. Seriously!!!? I was not able to do early check-in because the apartment was being clean, which unit? Not the one I was staying at. The next day they called apologizing again and asking if they can send the cleaning crew back to clean, NO YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GIVE ME A COMPLETE CLEAN APARTMENT, not to send someone during my stay to clean, very unprofessional. So do yourself a favor and Do not stay here. Btw, I when to the store to get Clorox wipes and Lysol to spray and disinfect the apartment. Negative: the coffee situation was not good at all - pods were not coffee but espresso - we brought our own grinds thinking there would be a traditional coffee maker - but there was not - when i spoke to the simplissimo staff they said that that was all they had. also, it was a bit strange that a 2 bedroom apt had only 2 wine glasses - when i asked if there were any other wine glasses - they told me to go buy some and then submit the receipt - which is a bit odd to ask... i would recommend putting in a regular coffee maker and adding 2 more wine glasses.

A Nice Place but Not a Great Stay
Positive: Their willingness to correct things when brought their attention was good however offering to fumigate ants with me there was dumb.The room size, the proximity to the highway, downtown, the Atwater Market. I have stayed at this property 3 times. Negative: The attention to basic guest pre-arrival detail was lacking. There wasn't enough commissary for a 5 day guest stay i.e toilet paper, coffee, cutlery, paper towel. There was an ant infestation problem near the laundry area, and ants found on our beds was off putting. A slow reaction to dismantle a loud party by another guest took till 3:30am to resolve. One bedroom tv didn't connect. No offer of compensation, just apologies and excuses.

Jai pris ce Airbnb vendredi à 3h alors que j’étais supposé de prendre plus tôt c’était vraiment pas professionnel mais j’ai accepté.Lorsque je suis arriver ma mère est venue décorer l’appartement car c’était mon anniversaire avec trois de mes amies mais mes parents on pris un hôtel car nous venons d’Ottawa. La nuit nos amies sont venue nous chercher pour aller en boîte de nuit et c’était calme il avait personne, lorsque je suis revenue avec mes trois amies la police viens avec le monsieur de la maison mais nous on était deja en pyjama il nous ont fait sortir de la maison à 3h dans le froid sans nos baggage et ils ont dit que ils allait le jeter nous sommes des étudiants et avec le virus on avait peur. On payer pour cette apartment pour deux jours mais il nous on fait sortir à 3h du matin comme des chiens et avec ça il nous donne aucun remboursement et il veulent que on leur donne 550$ de plus alors que on est revenue le matin pour chercher nos affaires et arranger la maison la femme de ménage a rien fait on a des preuves de toutes ça. Tout cela pour dire we cette endroit son unprofessional et on aucun respect pour les gens et leur someille emplis de tout l’argent qu’il on pris il veulent encore d’autre.

The room was so dirty it was obvious that no true cleaning has been done for a long time. Surfaces, floor, walls, toilet, couch and mirrors were disgusting. The only thing they had cleaned prior to our arrival was the bed sheets (thank god). Never again.

We were more than delighted with the unit. Very spacious throughout. Bathroom was also very modern and excellent shower. Great location with special cafes very close. But cooking facilities in unit were more than adequate with well supplied cooking and eating utensils. Also Alex was always readily available via text message to answer questions or to respond to concerns.

Ideal property in Montreal
The property was clean, comfortable and in an ideal location. 2 minute walk from Charlevoix Metro, bus stops on the same street and bike stations if you fancied cycling into the city. It was a 5 minute walk from the main supermarket and there were nice, local takeaways and restaurants. The amenities in the property were ideal including washing machine/dryer and kitchen appliances including toaster, microwave, cooker/oven and coffee machine. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to a friend.

Quality appartement, modern, spotless, very spaceous
The code system for the room and front door worked perfectly, we received the information in advance. The apartments are above the Dollarama store. The appartement we had (201) is very modern, luminous, very very clean and spacious. We could have lived there easily for months on end, let alone 3 days. Even if limited to 4 people (2 rooms with king size beds) you could dance in this place. There is even a large terrace. Even if very luminous, the good blinds and powerful air conditioning meant that we were very comfortable, and the place has very good sound insulation, you can't hear any noise at all from outside. There is loads and loads of wardrobe space, the bathroom and shower are great with great shower gel and shampoo. In terms of equipment, the dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer were much appreciated, if they could have some clothes detergent available, like the had for the dishwasher that would be great. The front door of our apartment was not easy to open it needy a hefty push or pull, they may need to adjust that before someone pulls the handle off. Two of the dinning room chairs were broken, we avoided sitting on them, the management should consider changing or fixing those. The apartment is around 40 mins walk away from Montreal City centre. We walked up to Rue Notre-Dame and then to the centre. The neighbourhood is OK, it seems to be a mix between an old industrial area to the west which has been converted into a more residential area now towards the east, towards Montreal city centre. We enjoyed our stay here, we'd go again if we return to Montreal.

Modern big apartment
We really enjoyed our stay here, except for the parking ticket. This is a big modern apartment where you can stay and visit Montreal. De tube is nearby and the bus drives through the street. A grocery store is within walking distance. Just minor things were not great: the towel rack in the bathroom doesn't do its job. Two chairs are not reliable to sit on. And one of the kitchen cabinets grinds against another. The shower and beds are really great! Thanks for letting us stay here.

Apartment was in a convenient location located near the subway. We were disappointed with how when we arrived at the appartment we found the garbage bins were located inside the front entrance and the smell was terrible. Also because we had the closest apartment to the front the smell made it's way inside our room stinking the place up. Also when we arrived we found the countertops were still dirty from previous guests.
