  4. Enjoyed our stay at the David in Montreal.

    Positive: Great location in Old Montreal - close to restaurants and transit. We liked having a kitchenette (oven, range, and microwave) and full-size washer/dryer. Negative: Shower is a bit odd - glass surround that is open to the main part of the room. Would be a bit strange if traveling with kids.

    Positive: Simplicité et efficacité de l’enregistrement Localisation excellente Tranquillité de la chambre Negative: Travaux de rénovation dans la chambre du dessus. Dès 6h30 am, les travaux ont fait un vacarme insoutenable. Nous aurions dû en être avisés. Très décevant pour notre dernière matinée.

  6. Comfortable apartment but the overall complex was a bit too much style over substance

    Positive: Lovely modern apartment with good facilities including washing machine and dryer. Bed was comfortable. Negative: Reception closed on checkout day when we could have done with some assistance. Sarcastic staff member in the office when we arrived. Corridors far too dark. Too many codes to remember

    Positive: Location was fantastic- close to old port and a metro station. I felt like the amount of space you get for the cost was incredible! I loved having access to a kitchen as well. Negative: I wish there was a better solution for luggage storage.

  8. Lovely location, lovely room, wish there was a person on site.

    Positive: Loved the location. Like the room and all the amenities. Very comfortable. Negative: Check in process. No staff. Had issues getting all the codes. People responsive to emails/texts but not having a person to check us in was stressful. Wasn't sure how quick the responses would be.

  10. The David is a well located hotel with comfortable rooms in a modern design.

    Positive: The David is very well located. It was centrally located to many of the things we were interested in seeing. The room was spacious and provided everything we needed for our stay. Negative: The check in process could be a little easier, but eventually, it worked. Also, we couldn't figure out how to work the television. We asked several of the staff (on different days) and none of them could figure it out either. Small thing- I would recommend putting the laundry soap near the washing machine. We finally found it in a kitchen drawer after we went out and bought some.

  13. Nice place for the $$, I would stay here again for the accommodations & the neighborhood.

    Positive: Huge room! Full bed, bath, kitchen & sitting area. Location was good, not in the central old town area but at the west end on old town. Good restaurants within a 3-4 block walk. We didn’t find the Saint Pierre Cafe (1 block away) till the last day there, which is too bad because it is a great place. Quiet neighborhood because it is a little further away from the “touristy” area. Parking lot is 1/2 block away & the parking guys were easy to work with. Negative: Hallways were a little dark, and the entry codes were a little long. Put it in your phone so you don’t forget it.

  15. Large, clean accommodation in the old town

    Positive: Large room/ studio in a great location. The helpful gentlemen at reception. Good bed and Beautiful kitchen although not the most needed thing considering the restaurants and cafés options down the street Negative: This is not a hotel: no restaurant, bar or even common areas so they save a lot on staff and costs, which makes it a little pricy for the level of service. There’s a customer service you’ll need to call if you need anything. Make sure you have all the details downloaded before you show up, especially at night…

    Positive: Great location in old town Negative: It is a self access property with no reception. When I landed in Montreal I had still not received the access codes. I tried contacting them by email, booking.com and telephone and did not get any reply. I had to find alternative accommodation for the first night at the last minute and when I finally managed to contact their main office the next day to access the property they declined to refund the first night (apparently they could not find a record of my attempted phone call, however, the contact emails that they did receive didn’t seem to count).

  33. Great locatiion and concept!

    We loved the David Hotel from the second we walked in, it had a really cool concept and liked the airbnb style check in method too. Made things nice and easy. The maintenance team and housekeeping team were very responsive when our shower drain was clogged and they came right away to assist. The only thing that I was surprised with was the bed in the room, it was very uncomfortable and you wouldn't expect it in a hotel like this. It may have been broken actually but that was the only thing I could think of that was negative in our experience here. We would definitely come back if we were to travel to Montreal again!
